The Borderlands Research Foundation became operational as a nonprofit organization in the state of Texas on August 26, 2019. The Foundation exists to support the mission and programs of the Borderlands Research Institute, providing valuable support for the operations and special projects of the Institute.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Borderlands Research Foundation is to support the Borderlands Research Institute by advancing our understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the Chihuahuan Desert Borderlands through scientific investigations, student training, and sharing information with our stakeholders.

Since 2007, the Borderlands Research Institute has encouraged effective land stewardship of the Chihuahuan Desert through research, education, and outreach.
