OUR STORY
The Borderlands Research Foundation began as a nonprofit in 2019 to amplify and extend the work of the Borderlands Research Institute (BRI).
Nestled in Alpine, Texas, the Chihuahuan Desert offers unique landscapes, wildlife, and ecological challenges. The Foundation exists to support research into these ecosystems and to ensure that scientific discovery translates On stewardship and public understanding.
Since our founding, we’ve provided grants, scholarships, and logistical support for fieldwork, enabling deeper insight into desert ecology and wildlife conservation.
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH BRI
Established in 2019, the Borderlands Research Foundation supports ongoing conservation work of the Borderlands Research Institute through charitable donations.
The Foundation’s primary role is to provide resources, funding, and strategic support for BRI’s research, education, and outreach programs. Together, we:
